I really haven’t read enough books by Brenda Jackson and I was excited when I saw this book was available.
The story pulled me in right from the beginning. Charm and Dylan’s story was so good. It was a second chance romance, as the title eludes. You learn early on about the miscommunication that broke them up but you don’t have all the details and they both believe something different happened. There was a few moments of fake dating which was also nice. From the moment they kissed, you could really feel the chemistry between them.
Charm’s plan frustrated me. I was rooting for Dylan the entire book. I wasn’t familiar with all the side characters in the book (and hope to eventually read more about them) but Charm’s father clearly was a mean old bear.
I was so happy when Charm and Dylan got to their happily ever after. The book was such a good read.
