Aliza met Kofi on the first day she was in Accra for her foreign exchange semester. They hit it off instantly. She came from DC and he was a native of Ghana.
This felt like it was love at first sight. Their connection happened very rapidly but it was natural. They dated and he showed her around that parts of Ghana. They bonded and really got to know each other. I enjoyed how that part of their relationship was shown.
His parents pop up and burst their happy bubble. They have expectations for him. He is supposed to take over the family business. They have someone they want him to marry. Aliza decides to pull back from the relationship. Then, at the end of the semester, she goes home without saying goodbye and blocks him from contacting her.
I was so happy when fate brought them back together a few years later. I was very happy with this whole story. It gave me the warm and fuzzies. It was short and sweet and very well done.
