This book was a great blend of women’s fiction and romance. Simone is turning forty and trying to get her life together. She is also about two years post divorce with a man she is still in love with. The book is about her figuring all those issues out and that is what I loved most about it. It tackled the whole woman.
Simone is dealing with issues in her sports management agency, her teenage son, her broken marriage, and her own mental health. I enjoyed the way her friends pushed her to face her issues. I liked how she was reluctant at first but then dove in to help figure he life out.
Finding resolution with everything wasn’t easy, especially the romance part. She really had to dig deep to deal with those issues. But she had love and support around her the entire time. She also provided love and support to those around her. Simone was a really great character.
I enjoyed this book a lot. I was happy with the way things worked out. I also wonder if there will be another book and this become a series. I am very curious about her friends Logan and Tristan.
