Don’t Tell Me How It Ends by Adrienne Thurman

Kaia came home to help her pregnant sister and try to figure out her own life. She ends up being drafted to be the first client for her sister’s matchmaking business.

In the meantime, she meets Ro. Their first few encounters were very awkward for her. They end up becoming friends and he is very interested in her journey with the plans her sister has for her.

This book is definitely a slow burn. Kaia has a very jade view on men and love. She is constantly waiting for a man to prove her right. Most of them do. Except Ro.

Their journey to happily ever after was very bumpy. Kaia had a lot of growing that she needed to do. She had to discover things about herself before she could even be open to a happy ending.

I enjoyed this book a lot. I typically don’t like slow burns but this one just felt right. I enjoyed the pace. I was immediately invested in Kaia’s journey from the first few pages.
