This book was a true labor of love. The story came to me very clearly but I wasn’t sure if I should write it. Then I wrote it and wasn’t sure how to end it. After that, I wasn’t sure if I was going to share it.
Kaylin is in foster care and she runs away trying to find her birth parents. She meets Lance and lies to him about her age. She ends up pregnant and homeless.
It turns out that Lance is very well acquainted with her birth family. He steps up and tries to help her as best as he can. He struggles with his feelings because Kaylin is actually underage.
This is a love story but it is also a story about family. It is young adult and new adult and romance and fiction. I told the story that the characters presented me with and I am happy with it.
