February 2024 Reading Recap

Didn’t get into as many books as I wanted to this month. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the books that I did read.

Recipe for Persuasion by Sonali Dev
Ashna and Rico had such a good story. This was a second chance romance. A misunderstanding and family issues caused them to part. He pulls some strings to get them paired together on a reality cooking show. This series has brought me so much joy.

Love and Other Things by Christina C. Jones
This was three separate love stories involving friends. None of these were neat and tidy. I actually enjoyed that about this book.

Incense and Sensibility by Sonali Dev
India and Yash had a wonderful story. They spent a little bit of time together and that could have been the beginning of something but he got scared. Ten years later, she is helping him while he is running for political office. I’m excited and sad that I only have one more book to read from this series.

Strictly Professional by Christina C. Jones
Terrance and Gabi met and had some chemistry. But he was going to ghost her. Then she ends up being his coworker. The chemistry was still there. Her family was a trip. Glad she had her uncle in her life. There is another book in this series. I’m excited to see the rest of their story. This book had a happy for now ending but it was so good I’m glad there is more.

No Reservations by Sheryl Lister
This book was women’s fiction. It was a story about three friends who lost the fourth member of their group. Rochelle, Joy, and Diane each took a different path to get to their happily ever after. Loved the romantic elements of this book. It was a great balance of personal journey and romantic journey.

A Cowboy Kind of Thing by Reese Ryan
Dionna and Tripp were paired together to help plan her best friend and his cousin’s wedding. They didn’t get along at first but it was clear there was an attraction simmering. This story was so cute.

Frenemy Fix Up by Yahrah St. John
Shay and Colin went to high school together. She had a crush on him. That turned into her disliking him at some point. Even still, she agrees to help him out with reducing his stress and exercising. He did offer her a pretty big sum of money that she really needed. This wasn’t my favorite book in the series, but it was good. Can’t wait for the other books.
Check out my review.

A Chance at Love by Beverly Jenkins
Those twins went to go get themselves a mother and came home with Loreli. She wasn’t exactly trying to be their mother. Uncle Jake wasn’t trying to get them a mom fast enough. Loreli wasn’t his idea of a good candidate but the twins were determined. Finally he asked her to help him out and she agreed, eventually. This book was wonderful. The twists and turns were great.
This book gets my Hercules! Hercules! Award because I was definitely clapping my hands when I finished it.

My Snowy Valentine by Turtleberry
Of course I read my new release for the month. I read it several times but will only count one. I really enjoyed Danyel and Wayland. I enjoyed them so much that I plan on visiting with them again in a future work.

That was it for February. Stay tuned to see what books I dive into during the month of March.
