I absolutely adore Farrah Rochon. She is definitely one of my favorite authors. I was so excited to get this entire series on audiobook. I purchased the first four and was blessed with the last two from Net Galley. I was so excited to visit the small town of Gauthier and enjoy these love stories.
A Forever Kind of Love
Mya and Corey were high school sweethearts. They split up when they both left town after high school. Mya came back for a funeral and ended up needing to stay. Sparks were flying from the moment she saw Corey again. The problem was that she had a new life in New York and didn’t want to get trapped in a small town. Corey wanted nothing more than for her to stay with him.
I enjoyed this book a lot. The more she tried to resist him, the harder he tried to remind her how good they were together. This was a really good story.
Always and Forever
Phil wanted so badly to hate Jamal when he purchased the family home she had lost to foreclosure. There were a lot of bumps in the road as Jamal pursued her but Phil finally decided to take it easy on him and give in to her attraction. Both of them were dealing with some serious issues in their lives. They were issues that threatened to keep them apart.
This was a really good read.
Yours Forever
Tamryn and Matt had sparks the moment they met when he gave her a ride on his motorcycle when she was stranded on a backroad. He had more than one thing she wanted. She was exactly what he needed. This was such a cute love story.
Forever’s Promise
Xavier really put his foot in his mouth when he first met Shayla. He had to work real hard to get back in her good graces. It was a good thing that he was really charming. Shayla was trying to reconnect with her nieces, which was an uphill battle.
This story should have a content warning for suicide. Despite that, I really enjoyed this book a lot. It was very well done.
Forever with You
Leslie was a widow with two small daughters. Gabriel was one of her daughter’s teachers and the interim assistant principal of the elementary school. Leslie was also the president of the parent-teacher association. She had a small crush on the slightly younger teacher. He had been trying to get up the nerve to ask her out since he met her. When he finally broke down her defenses she would only agree to a secret romance. She was still dealing with her husband’s suicide. Gabriel was very patient with her.
I really enjoyed this story. These two had a great love story. I was so glad that Leslie was able to heal her heart and find love again.
Stay With Me Forever
Paxton and Sawyer have history. They went to high school together. She had a crush on him but thought that he didn’t know she was alive. Turns out that he also had a crush on her and was trying to figure out how to get her attention. Now they were working on a town engineering project together. A few years earlier they had spent the night together. Paxton had run before he woke up. She was now trying to avoid anything happening between them again. She doesn’t think they are right for each other. Meanwhile, Sawyer wants nothing more than to spend the rest of his life with her.
This was such a well done story. Paxton couldn’t fight her attraction to Sawyer for long. They made a great team. This story left me wanting more.
I enjoyed this series so much. I really wish there were more stories from the town of Gauthier. I loved my time with each of these couples and that small town.
