Book 19 was the beginning of a challenge that I decided to give myself. For some insane reason, I decided that in 2022 I was going to publish a book a month. Please don’t ask me what I was thinking. I honestly don’t think that I was thinking.
I want to be clear when I tell other writers DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME! This was a seriously insane venture. Also, it was only possible because I happen to collect unfinished stories. If it weren’t for that stash, this endeavor would have surely burnt me out. As it stands, the year did take a lot out of me.
DeeDee and Jabari’s story was inspired by a combination of a real life incident and repeatedly watching The Black Panther. This was another time where I have real life people in mind when I thought about these characters.
DeeDee agrees to meet up with a guy she met on the internet. He insists that they each bring someone with them. She doesn’t think it is necessary but agrees. He brings his friend Jabari.
This book is short and I had a lot of fun with it. It is in my top five books that I’ve written that I would suggest someone read to get to know my style. This was almost a much longer book but I held off, for reasons.
This book is available on audio at your favorite audiobook retailer. The amazing Wesleigh Siobhan did a wonderful job with it.
