Wesley was making a mess of his life. He hadn’t been the same since his father died and he had to leave his childhood sweetheart. He still thought about Albany. He craved her. He was calling other women by her name. He was a mess.

Then Albany pops back up. She is fresh off a messy marriage and subsequent divorce. She needs work and Wesley’s grandmother Joyce offers her a job. But she isn’t sure she should take it because it involves Wes. The moment she saw him, her body reacted. The sparks were still there even though she really wanted to hate him for how he abandoned her.

This story was about second chances and a love that never ended. I enjoyed how Albany didn’t make it easy for Wes even though she had to battle her heart. He refused to give up on her. He wanted a second chance and was more than willing to put in the work to make it happen.

This audiobook was well done. I enjoy dual narration when the story is told from two different points of view.

Four star read because their were some issues I noticed with point of view and switching from first person to third person that I noticed that pulled me out of the story. Otherwise, I loved it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
