I received a copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.
Ashon needs a bride to receive his inheritance from his tyrant of a grandfather. Ashon is a billionaire movie mogul. He interviews several actresses but can’t get Cilla off his mind. Cilla isn’t an actress. She was his housekeeper until they had one night of passion. Then she disappeared. Turns out she had been searching through his private papers for something.
Cilla is supposed to hate Ashon. His family took away her family’s legacy. But when he shows up at her door with an offer she can’t refuse she also realizes it is extremely hard to resist him. The next thing she is his fake bride-to-be and on a plane to Ghana.
Ashon is a bully. Cilla is stubborn and proud. This entire book was a tug of war between their mutual hatred of the other and the intense passion the share. Things heat up even more when they find out there is a baby on the way. Then they are forced to marry faster than they had agreed originally.
I really enjoyed this book. I honestly wasn’t sure they would be able to work out their issues. They were two very strong willed individuals. It wasn’t clear who was going to bend first.
Five star read. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
