I just couldn’t leave this series alone. Ten years after the series started, I was back with another glimpse inside the Davis family. This book looks into the lives of the children from the first three books in the series.
Naomi’s daughter Bella and Bianca’s son Junior both know that they are only members of the Davis family by choice and not by birth. They are best friends who have lost touch. That didn’t matter when Bella needed Junior to come and rescue her. Then they discovered that their feelings are a bit more than friendly.
To be honest, I knew I wanted these two together when they were little. This story had been floating in my mind for years before I finally got the nerve to write it.
Mina’s daughter Cody meets Marshawn and gets whisked away into a whirlwind romance. This was a cute little love story that I enjoyed writing.
Marie’s son Dominic had two separate encounters with Raevyn. The first after he broke up with her roommate. The second, years later, when they are both on vacation. Raevyn has to find a way to tell him that she got pregnant both times. I loved writing this story so much. It was definitely in the spirit of the shenanigans that the Davis family gets themselves into.
I couldn’t fit all the stories about the next generation that I had in my head into this one book, but I was very happy with the ones I chose.
