I got a copy of this book through my Patreon membership. I enjoy D Rose’s writing and was excited to read her latest release.
Nadir and Robyn are best friends. They have been friends for a few years. They live in the small town of Roseville. Nadir owns and runs his family’s lounge. Robyn is preparing to open a bistro.
I really liked that the romantic feelings didn’t pop up until they were both single. They weren’t pining for each other the entire time they were friends. Their attraction to each other didn’t really become a thing until their was opportunity to act on it.
I also really liked how slowly the romantic relationship grew. I typically hate a slow burn, and this didn’t exactly fall into that category, but they didn’t get into the happily ever after phase until they went through some things first.
I was very happy with how this book ended. It wasn’t rushed. It was totally realistic. And it was sweet.
