My second release was Nobody’s Somebody.
This book was actually my graduate thesis. I hadn’t finished the book by the time it was time to graduate, but I had done enough to work with. I handmade 15 to 20 copies to share with family, friends, and classmates.
I didn’t get the spark to finish this book until after I published my first book. Once I saw how easy it was for me to self-publish, I decided to make this book available. I reread what I had written before and the rest of Nicole’s story came to me.
This book is a story of Nicole finding herself and discovering love along the way. There is a really nice friends to lovers romance here along with a surprise pregnancy and just a dab of sports.
This was also the first introduction of the sorority that I created, Gamma Epsilon Phi Sorority. I wanted to talk about sorority life but not get caught up in what is actually real versus fiction like I might have if I used an existing organization. I also didn’t want to run the risk of getting something wrong and having folks yell at me because I am not in a sorority. Thus, GEPhi was born.
The journey I took with this book puts it just as close to my heart as my first published book. I really hope that readers can connect with Nicole.
